Helen moved to Hong Kong from China at the height of the Chinese Cultural revolution and faced a number of adversities from near starvation and financial ruin having sited living in a small flat where her family of 6 resided. As a young girl, her focus had always been her studies as her closest friends were all kids that excelled in school. Upon her graduation from university, she was fortunate to be able to travel around Asia/Australia as her job required. She was so proud to be able to say that she was able to buy her own first car (a fiat) and many gifts and treats for her parents with her hard earned money. Helen then moved to Canada and was soon married and lived in various cities across Canada from Winnipeg, to Saskatoon where her first son was born, to Edmonton and various smaller towns throughout BC before finally settling on the North Shore in the later 1970s where her second son was born. Helen had an entrepreneurial spirit before procuring her real estate licence, which had a significant impact on the vocations of her sons. Helen was proud to have the most significant years of her real estate carrier affiliated with Re/Max Masters in West Vancouver, with many years as a Medallion Club producer. Helen also had a flair for the arts with a keen interest in photography. Through photography, she brought many people in the community together by partaking in various photo competitions around the city. She also loved to sing and in her younger years played badminton.
As a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, Helen was always kind and fiercely generous, always eager to treat her friends or surprising people with extremely thoughtful gifts. Within her professional community and her social circles, Helen was always highly respected as she touched the lives of many. She is deeply loved and she is deeply missed.
