Bronislawa Tomaszewska Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bronialawa Tomaszewska (nee Karkut) on September 23, 2024. She passed away peacefully at Toronto Western Hospital at the age of 94 years with Krystyna her daughter by her side.
Bronia was born in Poland on February 22, 1930. She was predeceased by her husband Marion Tomaszewski and her son Mitch Sosnicki. She will be greatly missed by her son Krys (married to Lise Cote) and her daughter Krystyna Sosnicka (predeceased husband Monty). She was a fantastic strong woman, thoughtful, caring, kind and an unforgettable grandmother and great-grandmother.
Bronia was a Babcia to her family and she was also a Babcia to all our friends . She was living proof that age was just a number, as she never let it hold her back from living in active and fulfilled life. Her talent was unsurpassed with her ability to fix anything, knit, and cook for anyone around her and her place was always open to anyone in need. She donated a great deal to Share Life organization, and especially for the children.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ridley Funeral Home. Which is located at 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. West, Etobicoke. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic Church, located at 110th St., Etobicoke at 1:00 p.m. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a church of your choice, for mass intentions or cemetery candles would be appreciated. Messages of Condolence may be placed at www.RidleyFuneralHome.com.
