It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Agnes Smith of Marystown announces her peaceful passing surrounded by her loving family. Agnes passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on September 25, 2024 at the age of 69. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband of 47 years, Jerry Smith; children, Lisa Boone ( Rodney) of Creston South, Patricia Smith of Marystown, Karen Miller (Craig) of Marystown, Jerome Smith (Samantha) of Marystown and Leon Smith (Hayley) of Marystown; grandchildren, Kiana, Brianna, Nicholas, Brooke, James, Sophia, Carter, Karson, Nevaeh, Zachery, Lillie, Paisley and Alexis; sisters, Marie Cull (Cecil), Lucy Fleming (Joe); brother, Leonard Francis (Pauline); sister-in-law and best friend, Donna Landry; brother-in-law, Scott Smith (Josie); sisters-in-law, Catherine Drake (Calvin) and Kim Smith; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Agnes was predeceased by her parents, Thomas & Genevieve Francis; brothers, Jack Francis (Julia), Michael Francis, Raymond Francis; parents-in-law, Jim & Jessie Smith; brothers-in-law, Lee Smith (Linda) and Eli Smith (Jeanette); special friend, Kaitlyn Spencer.
The Smith Family would like to express a sincere thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center for your care and compassion shown to Agnes and her family during her time in your care.
The Smith Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on:

A funeral service will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on:
Monday, September 30, 2024 at 10:30am.
Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown.
In Agnes’s memory donations may be made to The Smith Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
