It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ian Fraser at home on September 3, 2024.
He was a loving husband to his childhood sweetheart, the love of his life, and best friend, Fiona (Thomson); a beloved father to his children, Alice Fraser and Lorna Jewell; their spouses Shayla and Ian; and a cherished Papa to Beth, Katharine, Emily, Liam, and Jaimie; brother of Alastair, and the member of an extended Scottish family.
So well-respected was he in his working life with colleagues at Rolls-Royce and Lockheed Martin, that he was invited back to work until he retired recently for the fourth time.
He will be lovingly remembered for his kindness, his willingness to give a helping hand, his charm, wit, and his robust story-telling.
A celebration of Ian’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s Church, Williamstown, on Friday, September 13, at 11:00am. The family will be in attendance at the church from 10:30 that morning.
