It is with saddened hearts that the family announces the passing of Susan Weylie at Kemp Care Hospice on September 4, 2024. As the matriarch of the family Susan will be sorely missed by her loving husband Wray of 41 years. Susan was cherished by her daughters Jill (Chris) and Paige. She was an adoring grandma to Isabella and her pre-deceased grandson Mason. Pre-deceased by her parents Frank and Onlee Bailey, brother Paul and sister-in-law Sharon. Survived by siblings Gordon and Jim (Sherry). Pre-deceased by her in-laws Donald and Lorraine Weylie. Loved sister-in-law John (Carol) and Glenn, aunt to Leanne, Todd, Tyler, John (Tanya) and Rebecca (Alex). Pre-deceased by her nephew Matthew.
Susan was the glue that held our family together and took great pride in her family. She was best friends and mentor to her daughters and faithful and supportive partner to her husband. Susan had several jobs over her time here, but her first true passion was working in the family business and took pride in work as a trades person. her last and longest employment was the LCBO where she met and made many friends in both co-workers and customers. Susan had a love for cooking and hosting dinner parties whether it was just her and Wray or for 40 or more guests at some of the events held at their home. It was guarantied no one left hungry and it was something she took great joy in. If you were a part of Susan’s family or a close friend she was fiercely protective and loyal to you. Susan also loved to read and sew when she could find time.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Wednesday September 11, 2024, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Memorial service will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home Hamilton, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 1:00 pm.
