July 10, 1929 to September 4, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Nicol Brown, a man known for his infectious humour, love of public speaking, and boundless joy in singing. Jim left this world on September 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Born on July 10, 1929 in Glasgow, Scotland, Jim had a knack for bringing smiles to everyone around him. Whether he was telling a joke, sharing a story, or bursting into song, his presence was always felt and appreciated. His gift for public speaking made him a beloved figure at gatherings, where his quick wit and warm personality shone through. He had a passion for rebuilding and repairing cars as well as
applying his handyman skills to build or repair anything that he put his mind to.
Jim was a devoted husband to Helen, who stood by his side through every twist and turn of life. Together, they raised three wonderful children—Stuart, Corinne and Graeme—who inherited their father’s sense of humor and zest for life. He was also a proud grandfather, doting on his grandchildren— Shawna, Cameron, Gregor, Nicole, James, Lynsey and Kevin; great grandchildren—Scarlett, Lainey, Emilia, Lucas and Ella; and seven step great grandchildren. His grandkids and great grandkids were his pride and joy, and he loved nothing more than sharing a laugh
or a song with them. Jim was predeceased by his granddaughter Shawna, who remains deeply missed and forever in his heart.
Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the countless memories he created and the love he spread. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

neighbourhood) at The Village of Taunton Mills.
