Julius Rudolph Stefaniszyn
On Friday, August 30, 2024, Julius Rudolph Stefaniszyn passed away surrounded by his loving family at the age of 83. Julius was a loving husband, father, papa, great-papa, brother, uncle and friend to many, he will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61.5 years, Marlene; son, Robert (Brenda); daughter, Tammy; three grandsons, Derek, Blake (Ashley) and Jonathan; two great-granddaughters, Chloe and Ellie; siblings, Katherine, Dorothy (Denny), Ken (Darlene) and Delores (Vince); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Julius was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph and Catherina; and sister, Irene.
Julius worked for Canadian National Railway for 37 years before retiring to spend time with his family, later returning to work for the Edmonton Sun and The Metro. He loved listening to Ukrainian music, puttering in the yard and garage, spending time at the cabin and watching the daily news. He also enjoyed travelling and cruising with his family, making many unforgettable memories.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the family’s residence; please reach out to the family for details.
