Called into the presence of her Lord and Savior, with her family at her side on August 30, 2024 at Huron Lodge, at the age of 75. Pre-deceased by her infant daughter Patricia Ruth (1972) and her parents Ruby & Enos Howson. Beloved wife of John for 54 years. Loving mother of Andrea Riach (Drew) and Sarah Desrosiers (Marcel). Cherished grandmother of Zoey Riach. Dear sister to John Howson (Ruth), Ruth Waffle (Bob), Pat Thorpe (John), Donald Howson (Denise), and sister-in-law to Barbara Sarell (the late Gordon), the late Vera Kell (Tom), the late Fred Bender, George Bender, Melvin Bender (the late Lily). She is survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins.
Elaine worked for Dr. Gerald Silverman for 33 years. She loved to play the piano, sing and bake, especially known for her butter tarts.
If you so desire, memorial donations may be made to Bridges of Peace.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 6, 2024 from 2-5pm & 7-9pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
Private family burial to take place and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday September 7, 2024 at 1pm at Parkwood Gospel Church. (3005 Temple Dr, Windsor).
