SOUTHERN, Wayne Ernest
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Wayne Southern on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, in his 81st year. Beloved son of the late Douglas and Grace Southern. Predeceased by his loving wife and soul mate, Viola Southern. Cherished father of Robert Southern, Tammy Davies, Dawn Bishop, Kera Wice-Caine and Kimberly Southern. Wayne was a very proud grandfather to his beautiful grandchildren; Sarah Hawn, Andrew Southern, David Southern, Natasha Kupar, Paige Moon, Kassi Davies, Alyssa Bishop, Brody Wice, Kaedan Caine, MacKenna Swain, Mathias Achtzener and Lily Hughes. He was an equally proud great-grandfather of Aiden Southern, Dominique Hawn, Maddie Hawn, Sophia Kupar, Killian Kupar, Aramis Kupar, Kyelar Southern, Jaxon Southern and Faith Southern.
Survived by his sole sibling, Sandra Downs.
Wayne was known for his passion for the great outdoors and being an avid hunter.
Wayne will forever live in the hearts of his loved ones, and his legacy will ensure through them.
Arrangements entrusted to RUSHNELL FUNERAL HOMES – BELLEVILLE, (80 Highland Ave .613-968-5588). To honor Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. A private interment will be held at a later date. Wayne and Viola will be laid to rest together at Mount Evergreen Cemetery (Trenton).
