It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Harold Fitzgerald, 81, on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Francis Fitzgerald and the late Beryl Landry (Irvine).
Robert will be missed by his loving wife, Carole Fitzgerald (Twohig); their children: Robert Brian (Joanne) Fitzgerald, Michael Francis Fitzgerald both of Moncton, Peter (Natasha) Fitzgerald of Steinbach, MB, and Cheryl Ashley of Moncton; their grandchildren: Justin, Natalie, Christopher, Tristen, Kaydence, and Makayla; several great grandchildren; his half-siblings: Blaine (Diane) Fitzgerald, Bruce (Denice) Fitzgerald, James Fitzgerald, Sherral (William) Bowman, and Debbie (Ried) Swimner; his step siblings: Rose Rogers and Leonard (Denise) Landry; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his half-brothers: Joe Fitzgerald and Glen Fitzgerald; as well as two stepsiblings: Junior Landry and Bunny Stears.
A funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel (625 Mountain Road, Moncton) on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, at 2:00pm.
Donations in memory of Robert can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
