It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury, on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the age of 87 years. Dear daughter to the late Jean Baptiste and late Georvette (née Lenneville) Lafleur. Beloved spouse to the late Gilles Gingras. Loving mother to Brenda Beaulieu (Ron), Linda Paquette-Moulaison (Darren), Helene Lacasse (Aime), Ronald Paquette (Carol) and Ryan Paquette (Cathy). Cherished grandmother to Nancy, Cory, Angela, late Christine, Natalie, Patrick, JulieAnn, Lynn, Alexia, Dustin and Amanda. Great-grandmother to Sienna, Colt, Aiden, Logan, Frank, Adelaide, Emily, Jakeb, Chloe, Lilly, Grace and Faith. Great-great-grandmother to Beckett. Sister to Lucienne Corriveau, Alfred Lafleur, Albert Lafleur and Jean Lafleur. Predeceased by her other siblings; Lorenzo, Monique, Louis, Gilbert, Rita, Rene, Paulette, Adjutor, Leo, Joseph, Noella, Henry, Edna, Evelyne, Paul and Rose. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mom drove most of her life up until her retirement; Mail delivery, school bus, dry cleaning and taxi. She loved to cook and feed people. She enjoyed putting on a meal for her family but also loved to feed the neighbors, strangers on the street and prepare larges lunches for her PSW’s. She was a very generous person and was always trying to give someone something. She also enjoyed a good game of cards, Cribbage, Yahtzee, Snakes N Ladders and did puzzles until she could no longer. Country music was always her favorite and although dementia robbed her of many memories, she still remembered the words to her favorite songs. She will forever be in our thoughts and in our hearts. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury, on Friday, August 16 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. A Chapel service will follow at 2:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, 22 Elm Street, Cartier, on Saturday, August 17 at 1:00 p.m. Donations in her memory can be made by cheque or online to the Alzheimer’s Society. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
