WILSON, Sylvia Beryl Irene (nee Thomas) (October 10, 1948 – February 18th, 2023)
It is with great sadness that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved wife, mother, nana, great-nana, sister and friend, Sylvia Beryl Irene (Thomas) Wilson, surrounded by the love of her family, on February 18th, 2023, in her 75th year. Sylvia will be lovingly remembered for her morning cup of tea, rose décor, her love of dogs and adventures at the casino. For many years, Sylvia was a dedicated employee of Canadian Timken, in St. Thomas. Sylvia was a resident of Fingal, Ontario. Survived by her much loved husband, Dennis Wilson, of Fingal. Always a caring mother, nana and great-nana to: Michael (Rebecca) Fisher, of St. Thomas and their children: Arden Fisher and Atrus Fisher; Wendy Nauss (Kenneth Vandellen), of Tillsonburg and children: Kimberly (Lance Pettinger) (their children Olivia, Andrew, Adalynn), Kevin (Sam) Nauss (their children Lukas, Jayden, Dallas), Emily Nauss (partner Dylan McCutchen), Kenneth Vandellen, Kylijah Vandellen, and Miranda Vandellen; Mark (Cindy) Fisher, of Springfield and their children: Spencer Fisher, Rachel Fisher, Cory Fisher, and Natalie Fisher. Survived by her siblings Barbara Welch and Colin (Judy) Thomas. Predeceased by her parents Sylvia (Mullens) Thomas and Kenneth Thomas.
In keeping with Sylvia’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place in the Old St. Thomas Churchyard Scattering Garden at a later date. Everyone who knew Sylvia is invited to share special memories, favourite photos and condolences to the family via Sylvia’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or contribute memorial donations to the “Canadian Cancer Society”.
