Obituary of Carol Ann Goodman
It is with enormous regret and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Carol Goodman at her home on February 20, 2023.
Waiting for her in heaven are her father, Clifford Ralph; her mother Vera Ralph; her brother Gordon Ralph; and her sister Joan Clark. Left to mourn her are husband Robert Goodman; daughter Sam Carew (Anthony); and brothers Colin Ralph (Betty), Eric Ralph (Jackie), and Allan Ralph. Also grieving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a small circle of friends and acquaintances near and far.
Blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, devastatingly sharp wit, and a presence that was apparent to everyone in a room, Carol was always fun to be around. She lit up the lanes at the local alley, her happy place, and was there every week to toss some balls and have some laughs with her friends. She brought dedication and reliability to every organization she graciously served across her life, such as the seniors association, girl guides Canada and the St. Gerards Guild.
We would like to thank the always professional caregivers at Central Health and especially the nurses at Community Health. Throughout Carol’s chronic health conditions, these compassionate folks have gone above and beyond to make sure she felt welcome, safe, and cared for.
Public visitation will take place at Hoskins Funeral Home in Grand Falls-Windsor on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hoskins Funeral Homes.
