Obituary of Kim Neill
With profound sorrow, the family announces the passing of Kimberly «Kim» Robert Neill at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital (DECH) on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Born on April 30, 1957, he was the cherished son of Robert «Bob» and Josephine «Joey» Neill and the beloved husband of Annette Paul.
Kim was a man of many passions and talents. He had a deep love for the outdoors, finding joy in boating with friends and family at the Capital City Boat Dock (CCBC), duck hunting, bunny hunts, and fishing. Boating on the Wolastoq and skiing at Crab Mountain were among his favorite pastimes. Kim’s love for music was evident and he enjoyed sharing these interests with those around him. His warmth and friendliness were felt by many, as he cherished his time with family and friends, always ready to share a laugh or a story.
He was a loving protector to his sister Kathy and a devoted father to his children, Nicholas (Courtney) and Kailey, who were his pride and joy. Kim’s grandchildren, Robert, Alice, and Annie, brought immense happiness to his life. He embraced his blended family with open arms, loving and caring for Monique, Hubie, Michel (Shelby), and grandchildren Payton, Ocean, Chase, and Dominic as his own. He also gained extra siblings, nephews, and nieces through this blended family, whom he cherished dearly.
Kim will be deeply missed by his parents, Bob and Joey, his wife Annette, his children and grandchildren, and his sister Kathy. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever be held in the hearts of those who knew him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and staff of the palliative care unit at DECH for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
A celebration of Kim’s life will take place on October 19, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the St. Mary’s First Nation Maqiyahtimok Centre, 247 Maliseet Drive, Fredericton, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kim’s memory to the Chalmers Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
