February 28,1949 – June 30, 2024
It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye and announce the passing of Kerry Coffey who passed away on June 30, 2024 at the age of 75. Kerry is lovingly remembered by his wife Sharon, sons Christopher (Yulicet) and Scott (Caterina), brother Michael Gray (Joyce), sister in law Carole Anne Coffey, step-grandson Christhian, as well as many special nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends. Kerry was born in St John’s NL on Feb 28,1949 and spent his summers in Ferryland with his grandparents, a place he always held close to his heart. He was predeceased by his parents James Michael Coffey and Marguerite Maher Coffey, brother William Kenneth Coffey and sister Roseanne who died in infancy. During his 44 year career as an Electric Motor Mechanic Kerry worked for GE, Westinghouse, Siemens, Turbocare and Meridian Power Systems making many lifelong friends along the way.
Kerry enjoyed retirement in Florida with Sharon and his beloved dogs Bubba and Minnie, spending his days relaxing and playing golf.
The family wish to thank the staff at the Rivercrest Care Centre for the compassionate care he received at the end of his journey.
A celebration of life will be held on September 8, 2024 at 3:00 pm at The Crooked Mouth Pub (Formally Oscars Pub) located at 221 Chippewa Rd in Sherwood Park.
