SELF, Christine Grace (nee Bannerman) of Trenton passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on February 20, 2023 at the age of 95. Christine was born on May 16, 1927 in the family home in Barney’s River, Nova Scotia. Christine is pre-deceased by her loving husband and best friend, Rev. Stanley Self. She is also pre-deceased by her parents Allan and Bessie Bannerman, sister Phyllis McDermid and her husband John, sister Ruth McDermid and her husband Iver, sister Maye Bannerman, brother Donald Bannerman, son-in-law David Winn and great-grandson Felix Self. Precious mother to Lois (Dean) Mills, Harvey (Jayne) Self, David Self (John McAuley), and Beth (Mark) Baxter. Lovingly remembered by her sisters’-in-law Nova Bannerman and Shirley Self, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. Christine was a wonderful Gramma to Christopher (Amanda) Winn, Alexander (Carolyn) Winn, Jenny (Jack) Dougherty, Allan (Natalie) Self, Jamie (Bec) Self, Jonathon (Sarah) Self, Sarah (Corey) Bellin, Nathaneal (Katrina) Baxter, and Kevin (Jenna) Baxter. Christine treasured her 22 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Caleb, Jedidiah, Adi, Asher, Ryker, Rowen, Sloane, Oakley, Annabelle, Fiona, Cameron, Grace, Abby, Caleb, Liam, Felix, Jed, Robin, Joanne, Nora, and Isla. The family will receive friends at RUSHNELL FUNERAL HOMES – TRENTON 60 Division St. (613-392-2111) on Friday, March 17th, 2023 from 12:30pm – 2:00p.m. with service to follow in the chapel at 2:00p.m. followed by a reception in the funeral home. A private family interment to take place at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the The Canadian Bible Society or a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family.
