Eleanore Thomson Leet
– 82, of Enfield passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at
Magnolia Continuing Care, Enfield. Born in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, she
was the daughter of the late William and Jean (Ross)
Palmer.
Eleanore loved her
Scotland homeland. She also loved to dance and taught many types of
dancing as well as coached cheerleading for many years. Eleanore will
always be remembered for dancing with the Buchta Dancers on the Don
Messer Show.
Kiltie and Gideon were
Eleanore’s dogs and were very special to her. They were
great traveling companions on many trips to Florida over the
years.
Eleanor is survived by
her loving husband, Gerard Myles Leet; children, Christopher Young,
Progresso, Mexico, Marjorie Ross (Joseph Kaiser), Shubenacadie, Todd
(Catherine) Young, Dartmouth, Colin Young (Kathryn Bruce-MacTavish),
Dartmouth, Shaun Young, Ajax, Ontario, Duncan Young (Aimee Todd),
Moncton, New Brunswick, Melissa (Mike) McKay, Dartmouth; twelve
grandchildren; one great granddaughter.
Gerard would like to
thank the caregivers at Magnolia Continuing Care, especially those in
Sand Dollar Cottage for their kindness and compassion.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. A
Graveside service will be held at a later date in Elm Grove Cemetery,
Kentville. If so desired, donations to Colchester SPCA are
welcomed.
