With deep sorrow, we share the news of Ian M Greer from North Bay, Ontario passing on July 10th, 2024 at the age of 76yrs. Ian passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto.
Ian worked tirelessly and was a good provider for his wife and family. He had a passion for classic cars (namely the 63 Ford Thunderbirds) and could always be found out in his garage singing and working on his cars or heading out to cruise night with those who shared the same passion. He loved to watch figure skating and was known as the skate grandpa at the local North Bay Skating Club where he was always willing to help out. He loved the lake and had a soft spot for dogs, a good cup of tea, and a bowl of ice cream covered in jam.
Ian was loved and will be dearly missed by his spouse Violet, his children Donna Lacroix (Dan), Melissa Parker (Stuart), Matthew Greer (Yarian), and Neal Greer (Saige). Along with his sister Heather Coutts (Jim), niece Catherine, nephews Jonathon and Gord, great nephew Zach, and his grandchildren Scott, Tavia (Andre), Skyler (Dawson), Marlee, Daelyn, and Lincoln .
We will commemorate his life with a Celebration of Life ceremony at a later date.
