Obituary
Symonds, Martha Kathleen – 86, of Courtyard Apartments, Barrington Passage, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 14th, 2024. Born on June 6th, 1938 in Centreville. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Charlotte Symonds. She lived a faith filled life surrounded by family and friends. Martha leaves behind a legacy of living life to the fullest and always placing family first. Beloved mother to Robert (Sharon) and Deborah (Larry); beloved and cherished grandmother of six grandchildren, Nerissa (Jared), Natasha (Clint), Jenna (John), Kyle (Alex), Darcy (Shawn) and Michael (Terri-Gail); a cherished great-grandmother of 10 great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brody, Bentley, Kiley, Jessa, Avah, Briggs, Jersey, Kansas and Easton; beloved sister to Alfred (Sandra), Claude (Valerie), Sylvia (Brayton) and Vesta (Jim); several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Martha was predeceased by her brothers, Joe, Frank, Max, Winston, Ronald, Mclean and Elijah; sisters, Patricia, Nita, Phyllis, Muriel, Ruth, Victoria and Edith in infancy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, from 7-9 pm at the H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, at 2:00 pm from the H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, with Pastor Jason Parker officiating. Memorial donations may be made to any charity of choice.
