Obituary of Dragica Kristofic (nee Sabol)
Of St. Thomas, passed away suddenly at LHSC, Victoria Hospital, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in her 88th year. Wife of the late Ivan Kristofic (2015). Mother of Elizabeth “Liz” Kristofic, Susan Quinn (Dave), all of St. Thomas, and the late Veronica Taylor (1980). Grandmother of Michael Taylor (Angie Brown), Meagan Weber (Brent), Matthew Quinn (Alyssa McCallum), and Cassandra Quinn. Great grandmother of Benjamin Taylor, Nova and Axel Weber. Sister of the late Elizabeth Varga-Kopic, late Mara Horvat, and late Katy Talan (Frank of St. Thomas). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Born in Ivanovec, Croatia, November 13, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Mijo and Anna (née Trstenjak) Sabol. Dragica was a retired employee of Bathurst, St. Thomas. She was a member of St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, London.
Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 5 – 8 p.m. (Prayers at 7:00 p.m.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, 2889 Westminster Dr., London on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Canada or St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church gratefully acknowledged.
