It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Michael Murphy of Little Bay announces his passing. Michael passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on June 30, 2024 at the age of 90.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his son, Gary (Marylou) Murphy of Little Bay; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Murphy of St. John’s and Brandon Murphy (Selina Lake) of St. John’s; 1 great-grandchild pride and joy, Hailee; sisters, Frances Stimpson, Elizabeth Doody and Susie Murphy; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Michael was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Murphy; parents, Edward and Susan Murphy; brothers, John Thomas Murphy, Peter Murphy, Patrick Murphy and Edward Murphy.
The Murphy Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown on:
Tuesday, July 2nd at
7:00pm to 9:00pm
Wednesday, July 3rd at
10:00am to 12:00pm
2:00pm to 4:00pm
7:00pm to 9:00pm
A funeral service will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church at a date and time to be announced.
Interment to follow at Sacred Heart RC Cemetery – Little Bay.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Wiseman’s Funeral Homes – Marystown.
