BRATLEY, Robert “Bob” – Passed away unexpectedly at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday June 17, 2024 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Liz” for 65 years. Loving father of Russell (Elise) of Bloomfield Michigan and Paul (Kelly) of Chicago Illinois. Caring grandfather of Jarred, Alanah (Aaron Poliak), Madison and Samantha. Survived by his sister in-law Mary Bratley. Predeceased by his brother Albert and his Sister Vivian Bratley. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and lifelong friends.
Bob and Liz were married on May 16, 1959 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and were members of the congregation for over 50 years before attending Chippawa Presbyterian Church. They made Chippawa their home where they raised their family and welcomed friends and relatives to many celebrations. Bob worked at Norton Company for 40 years retiring in 1998. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, had a love of gardening and found time for volunteering in the community.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls on Tuesday June 25, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm, 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Wednesday June 26, 2024 at Chippawa Presbyterian Church at 10:30 am. A family interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery later in the day. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, Project Share or Chippawa Presbyterian Church.
