1936-2024
It is with sadness that we
announce the death of our beloved Father, Papa, brother and friend,
Clarence «Bugs» Granville Nevers, of Coldstream, NB, who
passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Upper River Valley
Hospital, Waterville. Clarence was born April 24, 1936, in Woodstock,
NB, and was the son of the late Gerald and Margaret (Swim) Nevers. He
was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marcine (Clark) Nevers and his
son, Dale Nevers; stepmother, Jean Nevers; half sister, Clara Brewster
(Gordon); 3 siblings, Harold Nevers, Fred Nevers (Eileen) and Joyce
Fogerty (Gerry).
Bugs learned how to put in
a hard days work, but knew when it was time to just kick back and
relax. He was familiar with getting a fire started, delivering
one-liners with his quick wit and unique sense of humour, making sure
everyone was having a good time. You could always find him helping
anyone was in need, lending a helping hand and give you the
shirt off his back. If you ever had the opportunity meet him you knew
you’d have a friend for
life.
Bugs is survived by his
daughter, Debi Nevers (Chris DeMerchant); 2 grandchildren, Samantha
Rees (Courtney Harrison) and Dustin Rees; 1 great granddaughter,
Aubrey Harrison; 5 brothers, David Nevers (Pam), Ray Nevers (Cathy
McLeod), Arthur Nevers, Robert (Kathy) and Granville Nevers (Jackie
Hathaway) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended
family.
Visitation will be held
from the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High St.
Hartland, NB, on Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 1-3 pm. The
interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Coldstream. For those
who wish donations made to the Kidney Foundation would be
appreciated.
