At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Joseph Edmond Allaire of Green Valley, formerly of Summerstown; age 95 years. Beloved husband of Mariette Allaire (née Ayotte). Loving father of Paul (Suzanne), Michel (Charlene), Linda Campeau (Jean-Denis), Johanne Allaire (Wade Knight) and Daniel (Linda). Proud grandfather of Lissa Allaire (David), Ryan Allaire (Lindsay), Denis ‘Archie’ Allaire (Shelley), Jean-Yves Campeau (Swetha), Danielle Dumoulin (Danick) and Marlena Allaire-Van Oers (Nick); also proud of his 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Albert Allaire and Imelda Leger; as well as his brothers: Raymond [Edmond’s twin] (late Jeannette), Leodore, Fernand (late Jeannine) and infant Raymond. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Ste Marie de l’Assomption, Green Valley in May. Burial to follow in Nativity cemetery, Cornwall. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Edmond a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows-memories live.
