Suddenly passed away while doing what he loved from a motorcycle accident in Palmer Bay, Ontario on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Son of the late Delorma and Ethel Woods. Loving husband for over 37 years of Joann (nee Clemens). Dear father of Scott, Tamara and Mandy. Pa to Ashley, Dylan, Hailey, Nathan, Lexa and Lyla. Predeceased by his sister Sandy and survived by brother Brian (Brenda) and brother-in-law Gerry. Dear uncle of Jim (Krista), Donna (Clark), Julie and Ryan (Adreana). Brother-in-law of Bruce, Brenda, Carol (Gary-Al’s best friend), Carl (Dianne), Robert and Margaret (John). Survived by many other nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Al attended Conestoga College where to took Woodworking & Carpentry. Following this he worked at Grey Owl Paddles, then The Hockey Stick and he then returned to work at Grey Owl. He was always willing to help anyone in need and always enjoyed the company of his friends in his garage. A Celebration of Life will take place at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. Donations to Spinning Wheels Relay to End Parkinson’s would be appreciated by the family. The link is HERE and raising money towards Parkinson’s research was something important to Al because of family members afflicted with this disease.
