Roger Rolfe Marcolin, 63, of Wallaceburg, passed away suddenly on February 8, 2023 while on vacation in Mexico with his family.
Roger was born on May 9th, 1959 in Wallaceburg to parents Ben and Bruna Marcolin. Roger completed his high school education here and began his career with Union Gas shortly after.
Roger met his soulmate Cathy (VanVaerenberghe) while in high school and spent 44 beautiful years together.
Roger is predeceased by his father Ben Marcolin and is survived by his mother Bruna, wife Cathy, children Ryan (Trina), Greg (Tanya), Laura (Kyle), and Ben (Brien). His grandchildren Carter, Kallie, Kyla, Natalie, Brodi, Tucker, Abbie, Mia and Mali will never forget his sweet tooth and laughter. Roger will be remembered by his brothers Gary (Theresa) and Paul Marcolin, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Roger was always seen with a smile on his face and a drink in his hand. He was always ready for a dart game or a hand of euchre. Any given day you could find him watching football, hockey, baseball (really any sport) on TV. Roger enjoyed talking with anyone that would listen (and would tell you even if you didn’t want to) about the delicious dinner he was preparing or restaurant he had visited, but most of all his amazing grandbabies. Roger truly loved life, and loved his family more.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home (409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, 519-627-3231) on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. His funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11am followed by burial at Riverview Cemetery.
