Peacefully, after a courageous battle with illness surrounded by his family at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, February 11, 2023, Dennis Lloyd Ball of Straffordville passed away at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Sylvie for 43 years. Proud and loving dad to Michelle Ball (James) of Tillsonburg. Dear brother of Deborah Ball of Tillsonburg, Dawn Vezina (Mario) of Straffordville and David Ball (Linda) of Tillsonburg. Dennis is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great – nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Mabel (Brinn) Ball. Dennis was a dedicated employee of McConnell’s Nursery in Port Burwell for many years. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed woodworking and had a love for animals ; especially his cat, Otis. In keeping with Dennis’ wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519) 842-5221. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Straffordville Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Cancer Society or the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
