On May 14, 2024, Bozidar «Papa» Pavkovic, 92 years old, born in Bosnia on September 5, 1931 passed away peacefully with family at his side at Margaret’s Place Hospice in Dundas, Ontario.
Bozidar is survived by his devoted wife Lillian («Nana») and his three beloved children Bob (Michele), Brenda (Paul) and David (Nancie) and eight cherished grandchildren and five adored great grandchildren plus two on the way! He is predeceased by his dear grandson Darin.
Papa battled various medical issues over the last few years of his life and ultimately leukemia would be his last.
Hamilton General Hospital staff cared for and diagnosed Papa’s latest health setback.
With their care and support, they helped Papa with his transition to palliative care.
Margaret’s Place Hospice in Dundas provided the care and comfort that allowed Papa to enjoy his family during his last days with us and continue his spiritual journey.
Papa’s war stories and memories will be shared during service and visitation which will be held on Friday May 17th at Bay Gardens Funeral Home (1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington). Visitation will be from 11am-1pm, the Chapel Service will be held from 1pm-2pm, immediately followed by the committal service and burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington).
As an expression of sympathy the family kindly asks that a donation to Margaret’s Place Hospice be made in Bozidar’s memory. A donation link will be available in the donation tab.
