Obituary of Milton «Bud» Heard
Peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg, at age 95. Milton Heard, beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Cook). Loved father of Paul (Norma) of Port Hope, Brent (Dianne) of Waterloo, Barry (Karen) of St. Thomas and Scott (Penny) of Port Perry. Loving grandfather of Paul David (Christine), Geoffrey (Jasmine), Heather, Derek (Jessika), Curtis (Jenna), Max (Rachel) and Vaughan (Stacey). Cherished great grandfather of Loki, Judd, Max, Shea, Brett, Addison and Hadley. Dear brother of the late Jean Mitchell Bain and the late Al (Jean) Heard. Bud was a Founding Executive Member of the Port Perry Minor Hockey Assoc. and Past President for several years. He played hockey into his 70’s and was a proud hockey parent of all his boys. Bud and Helen enjoyed many winters in Florida during their retirement years playing shuffleboard and socializing, were members of the Port Perry Lawn Bowling Club and they both loved challenging each other at darts and pool.
The family of Milton Heard will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, April 26th from 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, April 27th at 2 p.m. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation or the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation.
