CORMIER, Gerard ‘Jerry’ – Passed away peacefully at his residence, with his family by his side, on Friday March 29, 2024 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Aline (nee Horth). Dearly loved father of the late Ron (2023) (Denise) Cormier, Linda Cormier, Joanne Culp, Wayne (Kathryn) Cormier. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Cormier, Stacey (Alex) Robb, Jesse Cassell (Hailey Hillman), Charlene Culp, Tamra (Jeff) Brown, Shane Culp (Shannon Bednarz) and Matthew Cormier. Beloved great-grandfather of Brielle, Stella, Jacob and Isaac. He will be lovingly remembered by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Mr. Cormier worked very hard to support his family. He started to work at the age of 7 on the family farm in New Brunswick to support his father and then worked at Cyanamid for many years to support his own family. He will be remembered as a humble, loving and kind person who went out of his way to help others in need. Mr. Cormier was the best husband, father, grandfather and friend. Friends are invited to join the family at PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Thursday April 4, 2024 from 7 to 9 pm and Friday April 5, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday April 6, 2024 at 11 am at St. Patrick’s Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Mr. Cormier, memorial contributions may be made to The Niagara Health Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Center), and would be appreciated by his family.
