Peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2024. Beloved husband of Lucette for fifty-five years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Glenn and Hennie Black, Sarena and Steven Safran, Maya and Kobi Shalhon. Loving Zaidy of Yaakov and Gitty, Yirmi and Tamara, Binyamin and Maya, and Atara; Shane, Isaac and Shayna, and Ben; Emma, and Bria. Great-grandfather of Kayla. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Rita and the late Alex Korman, Manny and Marcy Black, Nathan and Brenda Black, Dorothy and the late Harry, Josée and the late Saul, Cynthia and the late Moshe Black. Hy will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Young Israel of Chomedey Congregation Section, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Duvernay. Shiva at his home Tuesday following burial private and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Evening services Tuesday through Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to MADA Community Centre, (514) 342-4969, ext.: 229.
