It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loreto De Gasperis, who departed from this world on March 25, 2024, at the age of 82. He has now been reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Maddelena. Loreto was a pillar of strength and love in his family, and his memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
Loreto was the proud father of Silvio (Tonia) and Maurizio, who were not only his sons but also his closest companions and confidants. He was a devoted Nonno to Daniela (Joe) and Julia (Filip), whose laughter brought immense joy to his life. Furthermore, he was a cherished Bisnonno to Nicholas, whose innocence and wonder never failed to brighten his days.
In addition to his immediate family, Loreto leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. He was a beloved brother to Stella (deceased), Maria, Mike, Patty, Joe, and Nick, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Loreto’s presence brought light and laughter to family gatherings, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In honor of Loreto’s memory if so desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Though Loreto may have left this world, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
Visitations for Loreto have been entrusted to the DeMarco Funeral Home (Woodbridge Chapel) (8003 Weston Road, Woodbridge, Ontario, Tel- 905.850.9500) and will commence on Monday, April 1st, 2024 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on, Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. and conducted at Immaculate Conception Parish (300 Ansley Grove Rd., Woodbridge, On.). Immediately following Loreto’s Mass, an entombment service will be held at Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd, Etobicoke, On.).
