Margaret Laura Rachel Mathers (Avery)
Passed away peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Sunday March 24, 2024 at the age of 90. Daughter of the late William Samuel Avery and the late Evelyn Letetia Freeman. Much loved mother of Roger Mathers. Dear sister of Ross Avery (Joan). Predeceased by her brother Sam Avery and her nephew Billie Avery. Sister in law of Pat Avery and Margaret McLean and family. Lovingly remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Margaret will be fondly remembered by former students, teacher colleagues, neighbours and friends. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm followed by a funeral service in Christ Anglican Church at 12:30 pm. Interment Emmanuel cemetery, Portland. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Diabetes Association, Emmanuel Anglican Cemetery Board or to the Christ Anglican Church Gananoque would be appreciated by the family.
