Obituary
Madden, Grace Kathleen – 78, of Charlesville, NS, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 13th, 1945 in Sable River, NS; she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Lillian Belong. She is predeceased by her husband, Waldo; brothers, Samuel, Barry, Herbie and John. Grace is survived by her children, Rickey (Wendy) of Clyde River, Jackie of Yarmouth and Marie (Troy) of Forbes Point; grandchildren, Justin (Alisha), Jason, Nicholas, Brandon, Lacey and several great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorraine of Dartmouth and Vesta of Charlesville; brothers, Jimmy of Dartmouth, Johnny (Bernice) of Toronto and Arthur. On March 27th, 1988 Grace’s life changed and she gave her heart to Jesus and he was her Lord and Savior. Grace was a faithful and long-time member of the Bear Point Advent Christian Church. She worked as a secretary at the conferences as a clerk and teacher. Grace’s hobbies included gardening, writing and spending time with family. The gift of the spirit was given to her by her ability to write spiritual poems. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on the 4th floor for the care provided for our mother in her final days.
