It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Florence Miller of Rushoon announces her passing. Florence passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Sunday, February 5th, 2023, at the age of 84. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her children, Francina Sweetapple (Paul) of Torbay, Mary Miller (Al Saunders) of Grand Falls-Windsor, George Miller (Doreen) of Rushoon, Roderick Miler (Laura) of Rushoon; 7 grandchildren, Carl Miller, Jason and Jeremy Sweetapple, Trevor, Rebecca and Dennis Miller, Emily Miller-Saunders; 4 great-grandchildren, Sean and Lilah Sweetapple, Benjamin and Luke Miller; special sister-in-law Catherine Sweetapple; special cousins, Rosemary Cheeseman, Charlie Barry, Elizabeth Murphy, George Barry, Lillian King and Marion Barnes; and her homecare worker, Denise Hawco; special friend, Patsy Vaters; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Florence was predeceased by her husband, William; son, Carl; parents, George and Matilda Vaters; parents-in-law, Bernard and Mary Miller.
The Miller Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Florence will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Christ The King Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rushoon.
In Florence’s memory donations may be made to The Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre or flowers gratefully accepted.
