Irving Shuter
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Irving Shuter, of Windsor, Ontario, on March 21, 2024, at the age of 88. He was surrounded by family and passed away peacefully at Erie Shores HealthCare Hospital in Leamington.
Irving was born on May 2, 1935, in Montreal to Harry (Henoch) and Jean (Sheindl) Shuter. He married the love of his life, Joan (Cantor) Shuter on September 1, 1977, blending two families into one. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, patience and understanding.
Irving is survived by his loving wife, Joan; children Suzanne Guttman (Hilly), Jeff Shuter (Louise), Howard Shuter (Hilda), Stephen Bernstein (Edit), Robert Peter Bernstein (Linda) as well as 11 grandchildren; Simone, Emet and Aviva Guttman, James, Daniel and Charles Shuter-Ford, Sarah, Melanie and Jack Bernstein and Shawn and Matthew Klein who brought immense joy into his life.
He is also survived by his sister Yola Rusnak, his brother-in-law Maxwell Cantor and Sister-in-law Carol Cantor. He is predeceased by his sister, Sheila Mendelsohn (Milton), brother Albert Shuter, and brothers-in-law George Rusnak and Kenneth Cantor.
Irving’s memory will be a blessing to all who knew him.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Rachel Kaplan Hebrew Memorial Chapel, located at 675 Aylmer Avenue, Windsor, Ontario. Donations in Irving’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
