Barbara Jane “Barb” Bailey of Mossley passed away peacefully at Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in her 94th year. Born October 26, 1930 to the late Alvin and Ellen Reaume in Wallaceburg, On. Beloved wife of the late Allen Bailey (deceased 1996). Loving mother of Anson (Bobbi) of Mossley, Robert (Emilie) of Mossley, Doug (Jacqueline) of Tillsonburg, and Lori of Mississauga. Cherished grandmother of Gerry (Paula), Helen (deceased 1991), Kayla (Cam), John, Dan, Jacob, Kaden, Denise (Rob), Laura, and Andrew (Jenna). Loving great-grandmother of Mason, Bryson, Adeline, Devin, Hayden, Jozef, Ewelina, Kinsley, Avery, Lucas, and James. Survived by her sister Joan Parker of Wallaceburg. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Barb’s pride and joy was her family and loved spending time with them celebrating special occasions, sharing a meal, or travelling the world. She was a member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Dorchester. She also loved spending time with friends clogging at the Dorchester Seniors’ Centre, as well as playing board games, card games, and Bingo. During her quiet times she enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, and knitting.
Friends will be received at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester (Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.) where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
Interment Dorchester Union Cemetery.
