In Loving Memory of William Roy Dillon
April 16, 1939 – February 21, 2024
William (Bill) Roy Dillon, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 21, 2024 surrounded by family at the Haliburton Highlands Hospital.
William is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 63 years, Donna Darlene Dillon. Together they loved to travel around the world and spent 10 winters in Florida. He loved to watch all kinds of sports and enjoyed the morning crossword. He was a good father who always took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them, a loving and involved grandfather and great-grandfather to many.
Loving father of Cheryl Dillon (Colin), Terri Johnson (Dozer), John Dillon (Jodi), and Jodi Stamp (Jeff); proud grandfather to Shawna, Jesse (Kelly), Seanna (Chris), Shelby, Jami (Steven), Dillon, Frankie (Julia), Johnathan (Stephanie), Brayden (Juniper), McKenna, Parker (Tyler), and Cayden (Alyson); and proud great-grandfather to Riah, Brady, Quinlee, Aster, Ella, William and Emmett. He was predeceased by his parents Ellen and John Dillon, his brother Jack Dillon and wife Ann Dillon, brothers-in-law Ken Strum and Donny Sinclair. Dear brother of Irene Strum, brother in-law of Carol Dunham (Brian), and Cindy Sinclair. He will be missed by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
William was a strong, proud and good man. He is loved and will be missed by many. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is at peace watching over us.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
