Obituary of Dan Roode
Daniel “Dan” Joseph Roode of St Denis, SK, a beloved husband, father and pillar of the community, passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Dan was born on May 1, 1965 in Prince Albert, SK., and passed away on February 15, 2024 in Saskatoon, SK., at the age of 58 years.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Christina Vandale; his daughters, Hailee (Justin Thurstan) of Saskatoon, Mackenzie (Sheldon Dame) of Prince George and adopted daughter Jane Lafferty of Saskatoon; his siblings, Dirk, Doris (Bob) Serling, Lorne (Christine) and Kelly.
Dan was met in heaven by parents, Ken and Lynn Roode; and sister, Laura.
Celebration of Life for Dan will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Cathedral of the Holy Family – 123 Nelson Rd., Saskatoon, SK. (lunch to follow)
Interment: Batoche Cemetery, SK.
