Wesley’s Obituary
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Wesley Beamish.
Wesley was born to Everett and Emmie Beamish at the Catholic hospital in High Prairie on April 27, 1944. He passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2024 at the age of 79 years old.
Work was very important to him. In his earlier years he enjoyed farming, operating large equipment and particularly working with cattle. He went on to start Beamish Cat service; which was created in 1981 which included building roads and leases, like Monahan Ford High Prairie Road, and part of 88 road. He would continue on to spend his life working road and oilfield construction. In Wesley’s mind hard work brought meaning, and fulfillment to his life and he loved every minute of it.
When he wasn’t working he could be found in his garden, picking strawberries and other berries which brought great joy and a beautiful smile to his face.
Wesley started a relationship with Carol Morris in 1969 and together were blessed with 3 children Wayne, Patrick and Juanita.
Wesley then started a relationship with Fran McNaught in June 1997 till the evening of his departure on February 12, 2024.
Wesley had back surgery in August of 2019 hoping for a miracle to be able to walk again but unfortunately ever since was bound to a wheelchair. Many trials, frustrations and tribulations then followed. His great love and patient partner Fran devoted her life to taking loving care of him till the end of his journey on earth. There are no words to describe the leaps and bounds that Fran took to ensure that all needs were meet for Wesley.
Wesley is survived by his devoted and loving partner Fran; Son Wayne and wife Lisa, Grandchildren Cody, Garett, Konner and Jaelyn; Patrick and wife Agnes, Grandchildren Chris (Christina) and Tamara (Darcy), Great grandchildren Easton and My’Elle, Grandson Cole and great grandchildren Lilly and Abby. Wesley is also survived by his loving brothers and sister; Harold, (Kathy) Howard, (Carol) & Sister Barbara, and many nieces and nephews.
Wesley was predeceased by daughter Juanita, Brother Bob, Sister in law Suzanne and Brother in law Murray.
