Peacefully, on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Lou. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Gerri Richman and Malcolm Gould, Ava and Avie Schwam. Proud Bubbie of Josh and Caitlin, Leeza; Melanie and Jeff, Eric and Shira. Special great-grandmother of Jordan, Devon, Brynley, and Logan. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Annie and Harry Keppel, Lily and Jack Birch, Lou and Rhoda Lom. Dear sister-in-law of Ros Richman and predeceased by her other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Mattie will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends, and all who knew her. Special thanks to Mattie’s devoted caregivers who never left her side until the very end. Heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Steger Residence for their care and kindness where she made many wonderful friendships. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, February 16 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Hebrew Protective Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at the Steger Residence, 2450 Thimens Blvd., Saint-Laurent.
