Obituary
MOOD, Marvin Douglas – 68, Marvin passed away peacefully at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with loved ones by his side. Marvin attended school at B.M.H.S and Shelburne Vocational School. He worked at various places including the Irving Station in Wood’s Harbour, Super Intendant of Department of Transportation, Shelburne County, Shell Service Station- Main St., Yarmouth, Snap on Tools dealer, Canus Fisheries – C.S.I., Idle Oars Boatbuilders, Argyle, truck driver out west, Sea Star Seafoods—C.S.I, and he finished his career working with his sons Douglas, Ray, Aaron , and also his nephew John at MDM Boatbuilders – Woods Harbour. Marvin loved his pets and enjoyed his woodworking shop in his garage. He also loved a good political debate with his sons and wife.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Debbie; and his children, Douglas (Patty), Aaron (Angela), Ray (Chelsey), and Dawson; as well as siblings, Vernetta Oberoi (Pali), and Frankie (Diane); grandchildren, Adelynn, Kayla, Ryan, Ben, Ronnie; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Parker, many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Ruby Nickerson; Glenda Christensen, mother of Douglas and Aaron.
Marvin was predeceased by his father, Frank Mood; mother, Mary Mood and infant granddaughter, Amber.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Barrington. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
