Delores Agnes Simon Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Delores Simon (nee Willcott) announce her passing. Delores passed away peacefully at her home in Stephenville, Newfoundland on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 at the age of 84 years.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: her husband Bernard; Children: Elaine (Kirk), Wayne, Chris (Maria), and Denise (Craig); sisters: Margaret Hynes and Anne Willcott; grandchildren: Tracey (James) McCulligh, Kristina Murphy, Stephen (Kim) Lucas, Tylor (Leanne)Lucas, Christopher (Natalie) Lucas, Mitchell (Erica) Simon, Andrew Simon, Simone Williams, and Jonah Williams; and many great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, extended relatives and friends who she dearly loved and prayer over.
Mom is predeceased by: her son Jerry; parents Arthur and Caroline Willcott; and siblings: Gordon Willcott, Ken Willcott, Zita Hull, Mary Murphy, and Elizabeth Cox.
Mom had a great devotion to St. Anne who she prayed to daily. Her brochures, books and prayer beads were always by her side. Mom and Dad played darts for many years in the community. Mom had a deep passion for camping, dancing, a great game of 120s and loved her music. Mom was always the first person to be ready to go camping sitting in the passenger seat of Dads vehicle with her sunglasses on.
A visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home on Friday, February 9th from 7:00- 9:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 10:00 AM from St. Stephen’s Parish. The Family would like to say a special thank you to Sharon Vallis who was there for Mom for the last 7 years. Also, thank you to all her Home Care Workers for their support of our Mother.
