It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margery Nemtin, peacefully and surrounded by family, in her 90th year, on Friday, February 2, 2024. She leaves behind her loving family: the devoted and adoring love of her life, in his 100th year, her husband Irving Leibner. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Gary Leibner, Robert Leibner and Myra Shuster, Bruce Leibner and Iris Sofer, Sheryl Leibner Besner and Steven Besner. Proud grandmother of Aiden and Maxwell Leibner, Jesse Shuster Leibner and Marlee Held, Sierra Shuster Leibner, Kevin Max Leibner and Celine Hertz, Rom Leibner and Ariella Fineman, Corey Leibner, Michael Leibner and Dr. Samara Adler, Jessica Leibner, Daniel Besner and fiancée Tara Greenwald, Nicole Besner and fiancé Dr. Niko Koziris. Proud great-grandmother of Shalom, Menachem, Chana, Shaina, Chaya, Levi and Lena Leibner. Beloved daughter of the late Tina Vineberg and the late Max Nemtin. Predeceased by her sister Eileen Riven and her husband Irwin, her brother Stephen Nemtin and his wife Frances, her brother-in-law Alex Leibner and wife Sylvia and brother-in-law Mac Leibner and his wife Ray.
Margery lived a life devoted to home, family, and friends. She had a refined aesthetic sense, a keen eye for detail, and a deep appreciation of art and beauty. She loved being a member of the Montreal Museum of Arts and enjoyed attending art and theatrical performances. She took a great interest in her entourage and in happenings within her community. She loved creating and participating in celebrations and enjoyed extending herself to do acts of kindness to others.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, February 5, at 12:00 p.m. noon. Burial at Beth Zion Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva info to follow. Donations in memory of Margery may be made to the charity of your choice.
