Teacher, genealogist, avid reader, skilled crafter, dog lover, calligrapher, Riders fan and, most of all, beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, Ellen Kathleen Norberg (nee Stowell), late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the age of 81 years. She is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Marjorie, and an infant daughter. Ellen is survived by her daughter, Andrea (Tristan) of Regina; brother, Jack Stowell (Donna) of Saskatoon, SK; niece, Jennifer (Wes) and nephew, David; sister, Margaret Barry (Rick) of Caroline, AB; nephew, Travis (Jennifer) and their children, Jaxon, Weston, and Lawson of Bowden, AB; niece, Cara (Mike) of Red Deer County, AB; and Brother-in-law, Cliff Norberg (Pat) of Lacombe, AB; niece, Kathie of Fort MacMurray, AB, and niece, Tricia of Whitehorse, YT. Andrea would like to extend her thanks to the many health care workers who helped Ellen in her last few months, especially to the staff in unit 2-5 hospice care at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. As per Ellen’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment will occur in warmer months at Saint Mary’s Anglican Cemetery in Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of flowers, family and friends so wishing may make donations to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.
