It is with fondest memories and saddened hearts, we announce the passing of our much-loved father, Bob Arbour. Peacefully, surrounded by his family on December 30th in his 88th year, God called his son home. Bobby was born on January 31st, 1935, in Penetanguishene, Ontario. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Liz) Sovey for 65 years through sickness and in health, good times and bad they were together.
Father of Robbie (Nancy), Kathy (Mike), Neil (Sherry), Allen and Jennie (Eric). Loving Boppa to Nicole, Matthew, Rebecca, Bradley, Abbey, Daniel, Anthony, Brett, Zachary and Riley. Great grandfather to Jailyn, Taylor, Sasha, Carter, Henry, and Maximus. Late brother to Jack, Elmer, Lawrence, Rita, Leonard, Jules, Cecil, and sister Rita.
Family, friends and others whose lives Bob touched are invited to attend visitation at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home (211 Langstaff Road East Thornhill, Ontario). On Thursday January 4, 2024, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Saint Joseph which is located within Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home on Friday January 5, 2024, at 10:30am. Internment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Section 41.
