Obituary
Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Long Term Care Home in Grand Bank, on January 1, 2024, Ruth Marie Walters of Bay L’Argent, in her 72nd year.
Predeceased by her mother, Hazel Pittman; and parents-in-law Charles and Hazel Walters.
Leaving to mourn are her husband of 53 years, Edwin; children Stephanie (Bill), Michael (Vanessa), and Trina (Marc); grandchildren Tara, Brandon, Ivy, Abby, and Willow; great-grandchildren Aiden, Addison, Adrian, and Lydia; sisters Barb (Dave) and Susanne (Bill); and brother Richard (Connie); sisters and brothers-in-law Phyllis (Ed), Lloyd (Pearl), Randy (Lynn), Wanda, Jack (Louise), Ruby (Roy), and Lester; as well as a large circle of family and friends.
As a stay-at-home Mom, store clerk, paramedic, and home care worker, Ruth left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was dearly loved by her family and friends. Her greatest joy was her family. She was an avid gardener who spent days tending her flower garden. She loved spending time at our remote cabin. She wasn’t the best fly fisher in the world but, she loved salmon fishing and put her heart and soul into every cast.
Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held from St. Hilda’s Anglican Church, Bay L’Argent, on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to St. Hilda’s Church, Bay L’Argent or Blue Crest Long Term Care Home, Grand Bank. If you wish to donate by e-transfer, donations may be sent to cwarren_25@icloud.com. Please indicate in message who the donation is for and send separate email with password used.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Blue Crest Home for their kindness and care during Ruth’s stay.
