Robert B. Scott (April 14th, 1949 – Dec. 24th, 2023)
We are devastated to announce the passing of Robert B. Scott after a very long, courageous battle. Beloved husband of Judy of 52 years, loving father of Elizabeth (Tim), Jodie (Russ), Stephanie (Josh), Pamela (Kelly). Bob doted on his grandchildren: Rowan, Troy, Madison, Nathan; Julianna, Russell; Macarthur, Sofia; Audrey, and Jamie. He will be missed by his sisters: Shelley (Dave), Leslie (Dan), and Susan and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Robert Scott and Jean Scott.
After graduating from University of Toronto with his H.B.Sc. he went on to pursue a successful career as a rehabilitation specialist working with people with serious head injuries for 30 years. After he retired he achieved his dream of getting his pilot’s license.
Bob was an accomplished carpenter and he helped his father in building a beautiful cottage on Lake Huron that remains in the family today. His carpentry skills were always sought after wherever he went and he was always happy to help family and friends with any building and repairs that were needed.
Bob served God with quiet devotion and resolute faith. He served on St. Mark’s Board for many years in the non-profit Credit River Housing Division. Most of all Bob loved his family with all his heart.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bob’s memory to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood, St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Orangeville or St. George’s Anglican Church, Clarksburg, On.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Friday, January 12th, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Marks Anglican Church 5 First Ave. Orangeville, on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow at the Dods & McNair Reception Centre.

A tree will be planted in memory of Robert in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
