It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Jean Fournier of Marystown announces his passing. Jean passed away at his residence in Marystown on Thursday, December 21st, 2023, at the age of 83.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife of 56 years, Elsie Stewart-Fournier; sisters, Jeanne Huguette Fournier Pelletier (Rejean) of Quebec, Rachelle Fournier of Quebec, Renee Claire Fournier of Quebec, Raymonde Fournier of Quebec, Roberte Fournier of Quebec; brother Leonard Fournier of Quebec; Winnie Walters of Boat Harbour, Rita Pardy (Donald) of Boat Harbour, Alice Brinton of Marystown, Violet Pardy (Norman) of Boat Harbour, Nina Brushett (William) of Bay L’Argent and Beverly Stewart of Bay L’Argent; special neighbor & friend, Phil Pittman of Marystown; plus a circle of extended family and friends.
Jean was predeceased by his parents, Thomas & Yvonne Fournier; brother, Honorius Fournier; parents-in-law, Bridget & Joseph Stewart; and brothers-in-law, William Stewart, Randell Walters and William Brinton
In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place.
An inurnment will be held at the Burin Heritage Cemetery, Burin on a date and time to be announced.
