Hatfield, Ricky Dewayne – age 64 of Corryton passed away Monday, December 18, 2023. Preceded in death by parents, George and Ruby Hatfield; grandparents; uncles, aunts and other family members. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was employed at Harrison Asphalt (formerly Renfro’s) for 30+ years. Rick loved all sports, especially his Vols; but he was proudest to be at his grandkids’ games cheering them on. His most happiest times were spent with his family going to the beach, Cades Cove, a cabin in the mountains, or having everyone over for a cookout.
Survived by loving wife of 42 years, Margie; sons, Jason and wife Tonia Kirkland, and Chris Hatfield; daughter, Tonya and husband Jim Harrison. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Eric, Isaac and Alex Kirkland; Landan Hatfield, Brennan Moore and Lorren Graybeal; brother, Phil Hatfield; sister, Missy Hatfield; his two fur babies, Bandit and Neyland; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rick was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Bridges Funeral Home with funeral service to follow officiated by Rev. Derrick Mitchell. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM on Saturday at Clear Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Clear Springs Road in Mascot, TN. Pallbearers: Eric, Isaac and Alex Kirkland, Landan Hatfield, Brennan Moore and Tyler Walker. Honorary Pallbearer: Billy Rose.
